Inspired by the looping flight paths of an old Nintendo classic, Balloon Fight explores movement, play, and the beauty of letting a single gesture evolve into something unexpected.
Bold arcs weave across layered fields of soft blues, warm neutrals, deep cobalt, crimson, and charcoal, creating a composition that feels both spontaneous and intentional. Transparent washes, buried marks, and overlapping forms reveal themselves over time, rewarding a slower look and inviting the eye to continually discover new relationships within the painting.
Like the game that inspired its name, the work celebrates curiosity and motion—not racing toward a destination, but enjoying the freedom of the journey itself.
